Rose M. Losser "Devoted Wife and Mother" Our beloved mother, aunt, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and friend passed away on May 28, 2007 at home, surrounded by her loving family. Born Oct. 7, 1923 to Joseph McDougal McOmie and Emma Harker McOmie. Preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Douglas (Juanita), Raymond and Sherman; three sisters, Evelyn (Glen) Burroughs, Betty (Wayne) Godfrey and Emma (Clarence) Andrus. Survived by two sisters, Shirley (Boyd) Benson and Ruth (Richard) Thorpe. On July 11, 1940, Rose married her high school sweetheart, Richard Losser (deceased) in Evanston, WY. They settled in Murray and together they had two sons, Richard (deceased) and John (Lori); three daughters, Kathy (Don) Berry, Sharon (Bob) Larson and Mary Ann Losser; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Mom enjoyed cooking, sewing and spending time with family and friends, whether it be around a camp fire or simply visiting at home around her dining room table or on her front porch. She especially enjoyed visits from her little Adam and Emily. She was a long-time member of Christ Lutheran Church in Murray where she participated in many different activities such as teaching Sunday school, singing in the church choir and participating in the Lutheran Women's Missionary League. She touched the lives of many people and will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held on Sat., June 2, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, 5600 So. 240 E. Friends and family may call Fri. evening from 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State Street, and Sat. from 1-1:45 p.m. at the church. Interment: Murray City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Christ Lutheran Church (Endowment Fund). Condolences can be shared with the family at www.jenkins-soffe.com
