PERKINS, Gladys "Polly" Pollard, died at her residence, Cedarfield, on Sunday, January 29, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Ellett Drewry and Blanche Moran Pollard. She was predeceased by her son, Frank C. Perkins III. She is survived by three grandchildren, Elizabeth Perkins Marcantel and her husband, Jon, of Charleston, S.C., Cary Perkins Wilkins and her husband, Robert, of London, U.K., and Frank C. Perkins IV of San Francisco, Calif.; as well as three great-grandsons. Polly was a registered nurse, a graduate of Johnston-Willis Hospital School of Nurses and active in her profession and in nurses' organizations until her retirement. She was a member of Reveille United Methodist Church and a member of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. There will be a memorial service at Cedarfield on Friday, February 3, at 2 p.m. Private entombment for the family at Hollywood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice .
