"Hannah, wife of the late William H. Bennett of Schenevus, died Thursday, June 4th, of paralysis after only two weeks' illness. She was one of the oldest residents of the town of Maryland, and perhaps the oldest in point of continuous residence, having been born in Maryland 87 years ago. Her husband died in 1896, and since that time she had resided with her son, John Bennett, at whose home she died. The funeral was held Saturday at her late home at 2 p. m., Rev. A. W. Cooper of the M. E. church officiating, assisted by Rev. C. N. Colegrove of the Baptist church. Interment in the Schenevus cemetery. Besides the son above named, Mrs. Bennett is survived by a second son, William Bennett of New York, and by a daughter, Mrs. Julian Chase of Schenevus."
