Mrs. Oree Barton, 86, of Oakland, died January 4, 1999 at Baptist Hospital in Desoto of respiratory failure.
Born February 13, 1912 in Yalobusha County, she was the widow of Mr. Homer Leon Barton. She was the daughter of Arthur Rotenberry and Gaither Davidson.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. January 6 at Browning Funeral Chapel in Water Valley with Rev. Charles Langford officiating. Burial was in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley.
She is survived by two sons, Charles Barton of Olive Branch and Harold Barton of Duck Hill; one sister, Madrian Turner of Oakland; one brother, M.T. Rotenberry of Oxford; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Browning Funeral Home of Water Valley was in charge of arrangements.
