Marian L. Allison, 97, of West Newton (Turkeytown), died Thursday, March 14, 2013, at The Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Greensburg. She was born Jan. 12, 1916, in Arona, a daughter of the late George F. and Anna C. Peoples Boice. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the former SNY Market in Rostraver Township. She was a member of Sewickley Presbyterian Church in South Huntingdon Township and also a member of the Crusaders class of the church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond M. Allison; four brothers, George, John, William and Robert Boice; and five sisters, Margaret Caldwell, Mary Williams, Katherine Farlow, Martha Sowash and Dorothy Lauffer. Surviving are two sisters, Clara Gard, of Somerset, and Mildred Krause, of Redding, Calif.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the BEATTY-RICH FUNERAL HOME INC., Route 136, Madison. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home with Pastor Eric Glisan officiating. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Hempfield Township.
