Lit'l Bit was born in Floyd County, GA and brought to Cobb County after she had been turned in to the Floyd County Humane Society. She was a small calico cat who's tongue, after mouth and stomach surgery, was always poking out. she was released for adoption but her forever home did not come.

A year later I took her home under the name of Natalia to foster and changed her name to Lit'l Bit since she weighted less than 4 pounds. Without teeth and having a delicate stomach, her feeding required special fixing and feeding was by hand. She was unable to make any sound except a low softened purrlike sound. A closeness developed and she became my cat within two weeks.

She slowly lost the ability to swallow and all solid food was refused and she had liquids only..I saw her weaken day by day until the day she climbed her way onto my bed where she usually jumped up as the bed was her special spot for love, attention and sleep. On March 16th she began to have seizures and I lay beside her and talked and petted her for a couple of hours. I think we both knew this was the end of our time together but not the end of our love for each other.

She was a very special little lady. I gave her food, drink, warmth, toys, a place of her own and the love she seemed to be craving.. She was loved and returned that love as she accepted me into her world.

She crossed the Rainbow Bridge, which has to be a special part of Heaven, at 12:15 pm on March 16th, of 2013.
