Mary Brashears Touchton, 62, of Ft. Gaines and Fayetteville, GA, died on April 17, 2010 at her residence in Ft. Gaines. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, April 19, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church in Ft. Gaines with Rev. Ralph Estes officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Gilead Cemetery. Visitation will be after the funeral on Monday in the Church Social Hall. Mrs. Touchton was born on May 26, 1947 in Atlanta, GA, daughter of Mary Lee Hudson Brashears and the late Joe Thomas Brashears. She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Gilead Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Lloyd Wilcox Touchton of Ft. Gaines and Fayetteville, GA; her sons, Ernest Ward, III and Jennifer of Peachtree City, GA and Alan Thomas Ward and Kassie of Watkinsville, GA; her step-sons, Kenneth Wilcox Touchton and Shawna of Fayetteville, GA, and Timothy Touchton and Linda of Gay, GA; her mother, Mary Lee Hudson Brashears of Albany, GA; her sister, Brenda Brashears Charles and Lyle of Dothan, AL; and seven grandchildren.
