Mr. Kerry Wayne Hemperley, age 60 of Dodson, Louisiana passed away, Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Winn Parish Medical Center in Winnfield.
He was a member of Siloam Baptist Church and was retired from Andritz – Iggesund Tools. Mr. Hemperley was also an avid golfer and a member of Pine Ridge Country Club in Winnfield.
Mr. Hemperley is survived by his wife of thirty four years Marla Guay Hemperley, parents Chester Braxton Hemperley and Billie Lou Richardson Hemperley, all of Dodson, son Andrew Chase Hemperley of Winnfield, brother Randy Hemperley of Dodson and sister Kim Hemphill of Quitman. He was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents L. B. Hemperley and Hazel Payne Hemperley and Maternal Grandparents A. J. Richardson and Mamie Fortenberry Richardson.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday in the Southern Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Charlie Hammons and Hayward Hossler officiating. Interment will follow in the New Hope Cemetery near Dodson.
Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Saturday, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 12:00 (noon) p.m. until time of services.
Pallbearers will be Cody Hemperley, Dustin Hemperley, David Gaar, Rodney Shelton, Shannon Lenard, Chad Goins-Smith, Greg Wagoner, and Pat Howell.
