David Aguirre, 59, of Park City IL, peacefully passed away on Saturday May 8th, 2010 at Condell Hospital surrounded by family and friends, after battling cancer for 11 years.

He was a native of Guatemala, living there up to his young adulthood; where he met his beloved wife Mercy Aguirre. He served on the Board of Directors of IRTRA and founded Guatemala's first theme park. Shortly thereafter they decided to fulfill the American Dream and migrated to U.S.A. The family settled in Park City, IL where they would live for the rest of his life.

He worked for Duraclean International for 16 years and then his battle began. His strong will to live and his desire to do more helped him in his battle against time. He fought and fought thru over 65 rounds of chemo and was in remission numerous times. He truly was the man that could do anything! He became involved with the community and proudly served as an Alderman of Park City for 4 years.

He loved family trips, dancing, singing, working on cars, attending church, and most of all meeting new people and helping them in any way he could. He enjoyed his time spent with his brothers and sisters of Famenal. His greatest joys in his life were his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. His kind and beautiful spirit will always remain with his family.

He was survived by, Mercy his wife of nearly 39 years; his three children Alex, 37, Sandy, 28 (Eric Smith) and Nancy, 22; two grandchildren Jeralyn and Mia; one great-granddaughter Zoey; sisters Alicia, Ruth and Eva; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family legacy he left behind of four generations is proof of the dedicated family man that he was. Everyone who encountered David was forever touched by his profound words, his advice, and his charisma; family, friends, and even the hospital staff who fought over him during their shifts. He will forever be missed and his memory will always be present with all of us.

Visitation will be held Monday, May 101h, 2010 from 5pm to 9pm and 10:30-11:30 am Tuesday at Marsh Funeral Home 305 Cemetery Rd. Gurnee, IL 60031.

The Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 11th, 2010 at 12pm at Most Blessed Trinity Church (Holy Family Site) 450 Keller Ave. Waukegan, IL.

Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery.
