Bernadine Stellar Alspaugh, 82, formerly of Delphi, died Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at 5:05 p.m., at Milner Community Healthcare in Rossville. She had been a resident there for the past 4 years. She was born May 31, 1930, in Wabash Co., to the late Arnold and Tillie Dryer Stellar. Her marriage was to Delbert E. Alspaugh in Delphi, on Oct 28, 1966, and he preceded her in death on Mar 9, 2007. She attended Chester High School in North Manchester. She was a cook and waitress at several Delphi area restaurants', and had worked in the kitchen at Carroll Manor Home. She had attended Living Faith Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed crocheting & sewing.
Surviving are a son, Ron (Jan) Israel, of Monticello; stepsons, Larry (Roberta) Alspaugh, of Lakeland, Fla.; Doug (Lisa) Alspaugh, of Clearwater, Fla.; sister, Ruby Long, of Elkhart; brothers, Lee (Mary) Stellar, of North Manchester, Veral (Barbara) Stellar, of Wabash; grandchildren, Zach Israel, Meghan Burns, Tony Goyer, and seven more grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call Monday from 1 p.m. until her funeral service at 2 p.m. at Abbott Funeral Home in Delphi; the Rev. Jeff Tomson officiating.
Burial at Masonic Cemetery-Delphi.
