We learn from Mr. John Boyer, who has recently returned from Coalville. That a man named James Allgood, was killed while taking out supports in the old Spriggs Mine, abandoned. A boy assisting Mr. Allgood had been but a few moments before called out of the mine by his Father. Who considered it unsafe to labor where they were then at work. The body was not recovered until the following morning about 3 o'clock. The accident occured Thursday, January 17,1884.
