Funeral services for Lucille Margaret Bazar Darrington, 96, Red Oak, were Friday, August 18, at Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home in Red Oak. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery Mrs. Darrington died Wednesday, August 16, 2000 at the Good Samaritan Care Center, Red Oak.
She was born April 15, 1904 in Red Oak to George and Lena Pilkington Cole. She was united in marriage to Frank Bazar, May 9, 1952 at Papillion, Nebraska. He preceded her in death May 22, 1979. In December 1987, she married Arthur Darrington in Red Oak. He passed away in December 25, 1996. She lived most of her life in Red Oak and was a graduate of Red Oak High School. She owned and operated Cole's Jewelry Store from 1925-1971. She was a member of First Congregational Church, Altrusa and BPW, all of Red Oak.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands; one brother, Arthur, and three sisters, George, Ruth, and Grace.
Survivors include a stepson Ron Darrington of Kentfield, California; several step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
