Myrtle Fern Divelbliss, 89, formerly of White Oak Ridge and a resident of Coffman Nursing Home, Hagerstown, Md., died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009, at the nursing home.

Born Nov. 23, 1919, in Fulton County, Pa., she was the daughter of the late William and Nellie Eshleman Keefer and the widow of Thurman W. Divelbliss Sr., who died in 1989.

She was a homemaker.

She was a former member of Hancock Senior Citizens.

She attended Rehobeth United Methodist Church and Mount Olivet Presbyterian Church, Hancock, Md.

She is survived by two daughters, Beulah F. Sneckenberger of Hagerstown and Aleta J. Semler of Boonsboro, Md.; two sons, Thurman W. Divelbliss Jr. of Hagerstown and Gary S. Divelbliss of Hancock; one sister, Ruth Maconaughey of Ranson, W.Va.; one brother, John Keefer of Shippensburg, Pa.; eight grandchildren, Judy Snyder, Rich Sneckenberger, Tammy Young, Kelly Cline, Preston Semler Jr., Trent Semler, Steven and Kevin Divelbliss; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four sisters, Elsie Rhodes, Beulah Cassner, Mary Miley and Edna Tritle; and three brothers, Cecil Keefer, William Keefer and Lester Keefer.

A service will be held Saturday, Aug. 29, at 1 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, Hancock. The Rev. Frank Kocek will officiate. Burial will be in Rehobeth United Methodist Cemetery, near Hancock.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. For the convenience of family and friends, the funeral home will be open from 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday.

The family requests that memorial contributions may be made to Rehobeth United Methodist Church, c/o Bill Yonker, 262 Weavers Creek Lane, Needmore, PA 17238.
