JOSEPH WEINANDY
Retired Farmer Passes Away at Home Saturday Evening

Joseph Weinandy, 77, retired farmer, died at his home on North Hazel Street, Saturday night at 9:45 o'clock following a serious illness of only two days. Mr. Weinandy had been in failing health for some time, death being attributed to a stroke of paralysis and complications.

Joseph Weinandy was born May 26, 1863, in Tiffin, the son of the late Peter and Margaret Terry Weinandy. He was united in marriage April 17, 1888, at St. Peter's Catholic church in this city to Caroline Benner, who survives with the following children: Miss Grace Weinandy, at home; Miss Mae Weinandy, of Toledo; Jerome Weinandy, of Carey; Ralph Weinandy, of Upper Sandusky, and Paul Weinandy, of Findlay. A son, Cyril, is deceased. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Rita and Jean Weinandy, of Carey and Ann and Richard Weinandy, of Findlay and a brother, John Weinandy, of this city. A sister, Mary and a brother, Frank are deceased.

Mr. Weinandy had been a resident of Upper Sandusky for the past 15 years, previous to that time following the occupation of farming. He was a member to St. Peter's Catholic Church.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 9:30 'clock from St. Peter's Catholic Church with the Pastor, Rev. John R. Forrer, in charge. Interment will be made in St. Peter's cemetery.

The body was taken to the Bringman & Co. funeral home to be prepared for burial and has been returned to the home where friends may call after 7:30 o'clock this Monday evening.
