Barbara attended Saint Margaret's, Hamilton and Lincoln High School in Seattle. She was christened at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cherokee, IA. Barbara and her family spent 11 years in Detroit and then moved back to the Seattle area. She was active with the National Association of Letter Carriers Auxiliary and the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Barbara loved to go camping at Baker Lake with her family and loved to play bingo.
She is survived by her husband, Robert (Bob) James; mother, Martha Tremain; her sisters, Shirley Fecteau, Betty Chalker, and Donna Webb; her brothers, Leonard (Vivian), Larry (Jean), and Dennis (Melissa) Lair; children Teresa, Tony, Todd (Sonja), Tom, Tami, Aaron (AJ) and Chris; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Barbara was dearly loved by her family and will be in our hearts forever.
A viewing will be on Wednesday, May 21st from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Evergreen Washelli Funeral Home in Seattle. Rosary will be at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Mountlake Terrace, at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 22nd, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Graveside services immediately following at Acacia Memorial Park in Seattle. A reception will follow graveside services at St. Pius Catholic Church.
