Uncle Danny grew up in Montrose. He and Patty were married in 1969 in Amarillo. In 1986, they moved to Brighton where he worked in the oil field as a heavy equipment mechanic until he retired in 2002. He loved fishing, hunting, and collecting guns. His loving wife preceded him. Survivors included: children Randy (Ilene) Barnes of Montrose, Hugh A. (Serena) Barnes of Ft. Lupton, Jessie Barnes of Grand Junction, Robert (Belinda) Rogers of Brighton, Roxanne (Todd) Stewart of Montrose, and LaVonda (Mike) Prokop of Glendale, AZ; brother Benjamin Barnes of Nebraska; sister Rosie Clarkson of Brighton; 20 grandkids; and 15 great-grandkids. Funeral Services held March 2 at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home, Brighton.
