Martha married Charles E. Davis on July 3, 1940 in Lafayette and he preceded her in death on August 29, 1982. She worked as a secretary in medical records at Home Hospital for 4 years and prior to that she had worked at the former Warren Paper Company. She was a member of the Fairfield Township Home Extension Club. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, and spending time with her family.
Surviving are her three sons, Dennis C. Davis (wife, Charlene) of Flora, IN, Robert M. Davis (wife, Rebecca) and Jeff L. Davis (wife, Linda) both of Lafayette, and two daughter-in-laws, Pat Davis of Rossville, IN and Kristie Davis of Evansville, IN. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Shane, Stacy, Scott, Tracy, Brenda, and Travis and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Jerry W. and Jay A. Davis, and four sisters.
Visitation 12:30 to 2 p.m. Thursday at Hippensteel Funeral Home. Service at 2 p.m. with Celebrant Denis Horn officiating. Burial to follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park.
