ASSERTS BOMBING MURDER-SUICIDE

Prosecutor of Opinion Sillman Set Off Death Blast.

Prosser's mysterious bombing Monday which caused the deaths of William Sillman and his sister, Mrs. Rosa Auritt, both of Spokane, apparently was suicide and murder, George O. Beardsley deputy prosecuting attorney, said last night at the end of the third day of investigation, according to an Associated Press dispatch from Prosser.

He Blames Sillman.

Sillman apparently set off the dynamite which demolished his coupe. Beardsley said, expressing his belief the explosion could not have been accidental. Officers learned that dynamite, caps and a four-cell dry battery purchased Thursday in Spokane were carefully wrapped and packed separately and the battery was boxed and wrapped. A wire was attached to the battery was found.

Sillman's son, William Sillman Jr. of Portland was at Prosser yesterday but could add no information or explain a motive Beardsley said.

The prosecutor said the investigation will continue as the coroner has not filled a report.

Funeral services for William Sillman, 68, a resident of this region for 36 years, will be conducted at the Egypt church at Davenport at 10:30 this morning. The procession will leave Phillips undertaking parlors at 10 o'clock and burial will be in the Frans cemetery.
