Mrs. Isabelle Fessler(sic), 91, formerly of 6232 Hwy. 151, Manitowoc, died Sunday evening, April 12, 1987 at North Ridge Care Center, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 11 am Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Silver Lake. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. John Pavelski and burial will be in St. Joseph Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Fessler was born January 21, 1895 at St.Nazianz, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Bernhard and Rosa Heinzen Gehrig. She married Frank J. Fessler onNovember 1, 1924 at St. Gregory Catholic church, St. Nazianz. He preceded her in death on July 5, 1981. Mrs. Fessler was a member of Christian Mothers of St. Joseph's Christian Mother's Society.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Joan Fessler of Manitowoc; five daughters and four sons-in-law, Rosemary and Howard Lensmire of Manitowoc, Mrs. Mildred Kelley of Manitowoc, Marjorie and Melvin Eschen of New Holstein, Annabelle and Emery Casper of Plymouth and Jean and Robert Eis of Mishicot; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Joseph and Theresa Gehrig of Manitowoc, Herman Gehrig of Sheboygan, Hubert and Marion Gehrig of DePere; six sisters and a brother-in-law, Rose Gehrig of Manitowoc, Maline Schultz of Rockford, Illinois, Ann Diehl of New Port Richey, Florida, Olga and Millard Powers of Chicago, Eleanor Radzick of Sheboygan, and Margaret Pribyl of Cicero, Illinois; 18 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter and Edmund; one sister, Antoinette and three granddaughters, Sara, Margaret and Patricia.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, 5 pm to 9 pm Tuesday where a prayer service will be at 8 pm by Rev. John Pavelski.
