Mr. Cobb was a member of the Royal Household where he served Her Majesty the Queen of England. He also served in the Royal Air Force.
George married the love of his life, June and took on six children. They owned and operated a café in England. In the United States he became Weatherford's Irish Friend; George never met a stranger. He was an employee of Brookshire's.
Survivors include his wife, June; daughters, Anne Peate and Mark of England, Sharon Gaines and Boyd Bush of Weatherford, Nicola Byerly and Randy also of Weatherford, Angela Cook and Steve of Las Vegas, NV and Victoria Baker of Indianapolis, IN; sons, David R. Cobb of Denmend, England, Paul Summerfield-Brice and Jeanne of Weatherford and Martyn Summerfield-Brice and Elizabeth also of Weatherford; sisters, Audrey Phillips and Mable Beven, both of England; brother, David Cobb of Ireland; nineteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 3pm Thursday, December 23, 2010 in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
