Patrick John Coyle, age 59, of Georgetown, TX, formerly of Hondo, TX passed away July 2, 2009 in Round Rock.

Patrick was born Nov. 3, 1949, in Hondo, to the late John Anthony and Malford Gloria Andrews Coyle.

Patrick graduated from Hondo High School in 1968. He was also a graduate of SWTSU and served in the U.S. Coast Guard.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Claudia Gilliam Coyle, and sister, Judy Coyle Tompkins.

Survivors include his son and daugher-in-law, Jon and Sabrina Coyle of Georgetown; grandchildren, Maeve Bridget Coyle and Finn Patrick Coyle; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mike and Lydia Coyle of Victoria, Tim Coyle of San Antonio, Douglas and Renie Coyle, James and Janis Coyle all of Hondo; brother-in-law, Dr. Thomas "Tom" K. Tompkins, Sr., D.D.S.; numerous nieces and nephews and his loyal dog Chuey.

The Guinn-Horger Funeral Home in Hondo will open for visitation on Sunday, July 5, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be Monday, July 6, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Hondo. Interment will follow in the Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Spinal Muscular Atrophy Foundation in honor of his sister, the late Judy Coyle Tompkins or to the charity of your choice. Visit www.tondre-guinn.com
