Mary appears to be a daughter born the year after the 1880 census and skipped by the 1890 census that was largely destroyed. There is a Mary I. Butcher living with spouse William Butcher in 1920 and 1930 Washington, D.C., but he is not buried in this family group. The censuses show no children with those Butchers.
Cemetery logs (second line from bottom of adjacent photo) show Mary was 57 when she died, just before the 1940 census.
Her brother Daniel and wife Margaret are buried next to this stone.
