Elise Derner, age 84, formerly of Hammond, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 1979 at Beech Grove, Ind. Survivors: two sons, William (Dolores) Derner of Indianapolis, Cecil Derner of Sewickley, Pa., five grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 5, 10:30 a.m. from the Clarence J. Huber Funeral Home, 722-165th St., Hammond, with Rev. Barton officiating. Burial Elmwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mrs. Derner was a resident of Hammond since 1915, before moving to Beech Grove. A member of the Galaxie Club, the Emmanuel Church of Christ, the Women's Choir, Hammond Chapter #370. A member of the Eastern Star for 62 years. Honorary member of the Abbey Hanson #578 O.E.S. A member of the Awalim Court #9 L.O.S., the Phi Omega Club. Eastern Star services Friday, 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
