A native of Harrison County, born June 27, 1908, he was the son of the late Walter and Leonora Martin Baker.
He was a school teacher in Harrison and Washington counties with 40 years of service, a farmer and a carpenter.
He was a member of Palmyra Church of Christ, where he taught the women's Bible class for several years.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Opal Nale; a brother, Logan Baker, and three sisters, Pearl McAfee, Osie Naugle and Fern McAfee.
Survivors include a daughter, Marilyn Grizzle, and a granddaughter.
Funeral: Saturday, March 5, at Palmyra Church of Christ with burial in Palmyra Cemetery.
