John Fife Sr. was born in Fifeshire, Scotland and died in the State of Pennsylvania after serving with his sons, John Jr. and William in a Pennsylvania Regiment during the Revolutionary War. (I will find that military information in files.) The place of burial agrees with the military information I do recall.
Date of immigration from Scotland to the Colony of Virginia is currently unknown. That he arrived in Virginia is based upon the birth of his son John Jr. in 1756 in Winchester Fredick Va. But, date and relationship to future wife at time of emigration is currently unknown.
He married Margaret Wright born 1725 also in Scotland. she died about 1795 most likely in Allegheny Pa.
According to a descendent of son, William Fife there is some confusion of John Sr.'s father name but I have William Fife born abt 1695 in Scotland.
