Billy Jack Light passed away Feb. 24, 2013, at his home in Graford.

He was born May 5, 1938, in Graford to Roy Anderson Light and Emily Eliza Peaden Light.

He graduated from Graford High School in 1957.

On March 16, 1960, he and Carolyn Naomi Baker were wed in Palo Pinto and were married for 51 years. They had one son, David Royce Light, who was born on Dec. 7, 1960.

Billy Jack was employed at Ed Lee Motor Company for 26 years. He worked for Southwestern Gas for 12 years and retired in 1994, which lasted for two years. In 1996 he purchased P.K. Auto Parts which he enjoyed managing until June 2012.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Naomi Light; his son, David Royce Light; and two brothers: Sammy Royce Light and Richard (Dick) Wayne Light.

Survivors include: sister Margaret Ann Hodnett of Mt. Home, AR; a daughter, Melissa Evans and her husband, Joel Evans, of McKinney; a son, Gary Scott Roberson, and his wife, Terry, of Millsap; grandson Bradley Roberson, of Millsap; two sisters- in-law, Brenda Marcelle Jackman of Perrin, and Deborah Ann Bramlett of Springtown; a brother-in-law, Claude Dwayne Jackman of Austin; several nieces and nephews and a friend, Norma Roberson.

Graveside service for Billy Jack will be at the Graford Cemetery, Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at 2 p.m.
