Neill "Traveler" Adkins was born October 28, 1931 in Robert Lee, the son of Dave and Susie Adkins.
He was a long time resident of Odessa. Neill was an avid truck driver, rig mover and "hot shotter." He worked many years for Dual Drilling, Turner Brothers and Shorty Hall Rig Company. Neill loved to play dominoes, cards and dice with fellow drivers and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 49 years, Frances; one brother; a sister and two infant siblings.
Survivors include son, Mickey Adkins and wife, Brandi of Springtown; daughter, Tressa Dominey and husband, Robert of Odessa; brother, J.D. Adkins of Kingsland; sister, Ruth Rives of Odessa; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a host of loving relatives and friends.
