Katherina Bernardina was born on the family farm, which was just north of the village of Meire Grove, MN; she was the third of twelve child born to Herman Johann & Agnes Marie (Schmiesing) Imdieke.

On 6 November 1902, "Denia" married Nicholaus Brang Jr. at Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church in Meire Grove, MN; they were both age 24. Born 20 January 1878 in Grove (Township) in Stearns County, MN; Nicholaus Jr. was the fifth of seven children born to Nicholaus & Anna Marie Brang.

"Denia" & Nicholaus had no children in their short married life; as Katherina died less than a year later at age 25.
