Aradine Sherwood married Floyd E. Ard, Jr., on 16 November 1933 at Wichita Falls, Texas. They moved to Abilene in 1947 from Olney. After her husband's death, she became president of Ard Drilling Company, Inc.
Survived by two sons - Julian Ard and Ivan Ard; three daughters - Marsha Ard, Stefanie Stephenson, Elisa Ard; one sister - Mary Silkwood; five grandchildren.
