Jerry W. Kyea, 88, died Monday, November 20, 1989, at his home in Au Sable Forks, New York.

He was born in Au Sable Forks, July 8, 1901, the son of Dominic and Priscilla (Shipman) Kyea.

He was a school-bus driver for 37 years for the Au Sable Forks Central Rural School system. He was a member of the Au Sable Forks Volunteer Fire Department. He operated Kyea's Trucking for many years. He married Marie Sawyer in Holy Name Church in Au Sable Forks on February 22, 1922.

Survivors included his wife of Au Sable Forks; five sons, Floyd of Rochester, New York, Paul of Plattsburgh, New York, and Roger, Robert and Marvin all of Au Sable Forks; three daughters, Mrs. Virginia Ray of Vestal, New York, Gertrude Klubertanz of Rochester and Marlene Kyea of Corinth, New York; 24 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Two sons and one daughter died before him: Wallace in February 1983, Leonard in October 1983 and Charlotte in June 1928.

Funeral services were held Thursday, November 23, 1989, at 10 a.m. at Holy Name Church in Au Sable Forks and burial was in Holy Name Cemetery.
