Civil War Union Army Officer. He served during the Civil War Co.C N.J Brigade 18th reg. infantry as Sgt. from April 26, to July 31, 1861 then as 2nd Lieutenant of Company F, 7th New Jersey Volunteer Infantry. He was killed in action in the June 25, 1862 Battle of Oak Grove, at 7 pines, Virginia.(Photo at right is the battle ground) In a report filed by his commanding officer, Col. J.W. Revere, he sadly reported the loss of 2nd Lt. A.T. Chazotte, who fell while encouraging his men in the most daring manner.
