Funeral Services for Leila Gist, 77, who died in an Amarillo hospital Monday evening, will be conducted from the First Baptist Church in Texhoma at 230 p.m Wednesday
Officiating will be Rev. Jerry McFather, pastor, with burial in the Texhoma Cemetery under the direction of the Dawson-Weich Funeral Home of
Texhoma Mrs Gist was born Nov 28, 1895 at Clebourne, Tex. and was married to Hoyt Gist at Stratford, Tex. On Nov. 24, 1928. She came to the Texas County with her family in 1906 where they homesteaded three miles north of Texhoma. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and was a Past Worthy Matron. Survivors include her husband, Hoyt, of the home. One daughter, Gwendolyn Gist of the home. One son, Monty Joe Gist
of Midland. Tex., four brothers, Arnold Berry of California, Grady Berry and Gus Berry, both of Texhoma and Oliver Berry of Keyes, four sisters, Mrs. Ola Mae Freeman, Mrs. Gatha Needham, both of Dalhart, Tex . Mrs Hazel Roberts of Keyes, Mrs. Annie Coate of Oklahoma City and two grandchildren.
