Rudolph Boe Dies; Rites Set for Today
Rudolph (Rudy) Boe, 71, former Stevens County resident, died Monday at Wadena.
Funeral services will be held today at 10 a.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church in Wadena. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. at Artichoke Lutheran Cemetery, located south of Chokio. Lunch will be held following the services at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
Mr. Boe was born Dec. 18, 1903 in Stevens County. He graduated from Litchfield High School and later from Hamline University. He married Olive Peterson. She died in 1957. He then married Frieda Lemmerman Groth at Morris in 1963. He was a member of the Stevens County rural schools' board of education.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Richard (Karen) Goldenstein of Bloomington, Mrs. Orville (Koreen) Brustuen of Appleton, and Mrs. Stanley (Janet) Staples of Morris.
Nine grandchildren, two brothers and three sisters Survive.
