Mrs. Belle Sterling Dale, 71, widow of Aubrey Dale and daughter of William H. and Mrs. Emma Goffigan Sterling, died in a hospital Thursday.
A native of Norfolk and a lifetime resident of the area, she lately lived at Virginia Beach. She was a member of the class of 1908, the last of old Norfolk High School. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Virginian Beach.
She is survived by a nephew, Scott Sterling of Virginia Beach and a niece, Mrs. Glenn Holt of Burlington, N.C.
The body will be taken from H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Elmwood Cemetery for a funeral service today at 10:30 a.m. The family has asked that flowers be omitted.
