From a previous marriage to Ruth Smith Buckner, he is also survived by a daughter, Helen Janett Buckner (Jan Buckner Thibadeau) of Columbia, SC (later Maryland) and two sons William McKinley Buckner and Arthur Aaron Buckner, both of Baltimore, MD; and a grandchild.
Surviving siblings were Doc and James Roosevelt Buckner of Greenville; four sisters: Mrs. D.W. (Tennie) Morgan, Mrs. M.E. (Ollie) Lowe, Mrs. W.R. (Mattie) Scott, and Mrs. J.R. (Altha) Turner, all of Greenville.
