Douglas Gutzmer of Saginaw, formerly of Chesaning, age 58, passed away on Wednesday evening, April 11,02012, at Covenant Harrison in Saginaw. He was born on March 31, 1954, in St. Johns, to Glen and Orpha (Bates) Gutzmer. Doug enjoyed flea markets and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Surviving are his two children Chastity (Rick) Nelson, of Owosso and Stephanie (William) Evans of Saginaw, 5 grandchildren, his life partner Constance Evans, his mother Orpha Gutzmer of Chesaning and his sister, Janet Stearns of Saline. He was preceded in death by a daughter Jamie, his father, and 2 brothers David and Dan.
In following Doug's wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will take place next week.
