Together their children were Carl, Doris, Robert, Clayton, Shirley, Dale, and Roger. She loved crocheting and gardening, and was a huge fan of Disney - she visited Disneyworld every year with her sister, Erma, and her nieces. Evelyn passed away on September 3, 2002, at her son Dale's house in Marion, Michigan. She is buried next to her husband in Rochester Hills, Michigan.
