Jeffery A. Callender, 56, died unexpectedly Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, at his home in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Jeff was born Aug. 30, 1956, in Painesville, the son of Carl and Elsiana "Vicki" (Eridon) Callender.

He was a 1974 graduate of Wickliffe High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard. He also enjoyed competitive race car driving.

Jeff was a loving son, brother and uncle who was dedicated to his job with Fluid Mechanics, Inc. in the Ohio Company's Florida office. He will be deeply missed by his family and co-workers.

He is survived by his loving mother, Elsiana "Vicki" Callender; his loving sisters, Debra J. Callender and Wendy (Mike) Spencer; his nephew, Mathew; and niece, Amanda; who were both very special to him.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, in the Monreal Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd., Eastlake.
A Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, in the Garfield Memorial United Methodist Church, 3650 Lander Road, Pepper Pike.
