Wilma Ottinger (Babe Aspelin) 88, passed away Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013.
She was born Feb. 21, 1924 in Dwight, KS, a daughter of Charles and Mary Aspelin.
She graduated from Dwight High School and moved to Kansas City to attend business college and became a secretary. She worked at Folgers Coffee, Graybar Electric, St. Paul's Episcopal Day School and the Volunteer Center of JOCO, KS. Wilma loved people, animals and Jayhawk basketball.
She is survived by her husband, Albert Ottinger who she was married to for 66 years, her son, Dean and his wife Starlet, grandchildren, Emily and Noah.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to SHC, t5644 Charlotte St. KCMO 64110.
Services will be Friday at Unity Temple Church on the Plaza, 707 W 47th St., Kansas City, MO., at 2 p.m., with reception to follow.
