Sarah Elizabeth Hageman, wife of William Miller Hageman, died at her home near Lynn Grove, in Walnut Grove Township, Sunday, August 13, aged sixty-two years three months and fourteen days.

Sarah Elizabeth Jontz was born in Wayne County, Ohio, April 30, 1837. On Oct 16, 1856, she was married to William Miller Hageman. Seven Children were born to them, all but one of whom are living. The surviving children Henry J. Hageman, and Mrs. Clinton Gossard of Trumbull, Neb; Mrs. John W. Zaring of Washington, Iowa; Mrs. Geo. W. Brewbaker, Charles E. Hageman and William L. Hageman, all of Walnut Grove.

Mother Hageman was converted in 1872 at Lynn Grove Church and united with the Methodist Church. She continued to grow in grace and the hope of the final regard in the end, leaving in the assurance that she was going to be with the loved ones gone before. And He said, write "Blessed are they who die in the Lord."

The funeral was in charge of Rev. J. W. Ferris, his text being Rev. xxi, 4-"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
