Grace A. DePrisco Hendricks, age 76, of Lewes, DE passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 14, 2013.

Born in Wilmington, Delaware on December 10, 1936, Grace was the daughter of the late Charles N. DePrisco and the late Elizabeth Godwin DePrisco.

She was a dedicated and compassionate registered nurse, and enjoyed a 20 year career at the Delaware General Hospital.
Grace was a longtime member of Parkview Assembly of God Church in Newark. In her leisure time, she loved visiting the beach and enjoyed monitoring police and fire calls. Grace's pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. She was a devoted and loving wife, who supported her husband's 42 year military career, and was largely responsible for any achievements he gained. Grace will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Charles and James. She is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, Chester L. Hendricks; children, Keith Hendricks and wife, Sharon of New Castle, Cynthia King, and husband, David of Newark, Brian Hendricks and wife, Julie of Glasgow, and Daryl Hendricks, and wife, Michelle of Raleigh, NC; sisters, Charlotte, Elsie, Betty, Nancy, Dorothy, and Linda; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; best friend, Fay Wynn; and canine companion, Keeper.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of Heartland Hospice House, especially to Lorraine, for the excellent care they provided to Grace during her time there.
A funeral service will be held at 9am on Monday, February 18, 2013, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 5 pm until 7 pm on Sunday, February 17, 2013.

Interment will follow in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Aetna Hose, Hook & Ladder Fire Company, P.O. Box 148, Newark, DE 19715 .
