53, of Charles City County, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 3, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ope and Flossie Adkins. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, William "Rennie" Allen Jr.; two sons, William "Tre" Allen III and Patrick Terrell Allen (Jamie); two grandchildren, Melvin and Brayden; siblings, Alfred, Arlene and Gladys; in-laws, Bill and Kay Allen; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She is also survived by three devoted friends, Paulette Bradby, Shirley Adkins and Jerry Adkins. A special thanks to her caregivers, Darlene Montez and Randi Lynn Cassell. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Samaria Baptist Church, Charles City, Va. The family will receive friends Friday (today) from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Vincent Funeral Home, Providence Forge, Va.
