John Baker Laid at Rest Friday In
Somerset Cemetery—Had Been
Ill Several Months.
Funeral services for John Baker,
70, were held at 2:30 p. m Friday at
the home of his daughter, Mrs. Al-
bert E. Leonard of Somerset. The
Rev. Ernest F. Scott, pastor of
Somerset Union M. B. church officiated.
Burial was in Somerset cemetery.
Mr. Baker died Tuesday night at
the home of his daughter a few
days after being brought from a
Buffalo hospital. He had been in
failing health for several months.
He was born in Newfane, but had
spent most of his life in Somerset.
He is survived by two sons and
three daughters, Cecil and Clyde
Baker, Mrs. A. E. Leonard of
Somerset, Mrs. William Shepard of
Alexandria Bay, Mrs. William Dob-
bins of Vermont, two brothers and
one sister.
