Mr. Eric Bernard Cowart, 44, of N. Sixth St., Harrisburg, transitioned into eternal life on Friday, February 1, 2013 at Harrisburg Hospital.
He was born in Albany, GA, son Sanford and Betty Jean (Wallace) Cowart, a graduate of the former William Penn High School, was employed as a warehouseman and in his leisure, enjoyed fishing, playing basketball and video games and watching football.
"Spank" was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mathis Cowart and Lizzie Thomas; his maternal grandparents Almond and Lula Belle Wallace; his maternal great grandparents, Rev. John and Hattie Lanier and he leaves to celebrate his life, his son, Eric Cowart; his daughters, Erica and Jerica Cowart; his parents, Sanford and Betty Cowart; his sister, Melissa Alexander, all of Harrisburg; his brother, Cedric Burns of Albany, GA; his companion and her son, Kannica and Johvaughan Young; and a host of other relatives and friends. His life will be celebrated on Monday, February 11 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Major H. Winfield Funeral Home, Steelton, with viewing from 10 until 11 a.m. and burial in William Howard Day Cemetery.
