Harold James Auler, 83, of Curtice, OH passed away, Friday, February 08, 2013 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 17, 1929 in East Toledo, OH, the son of Joseph P. and Marie L. (Brockman) Auler. Harold graduated from Waite High School, Toledo, OH in 1947. On July 31, 1953 in the Martin Luther Church, he married, Beverly J. Shields and she survives. Harold retired in 1990 as a tool room keeper for Toledo Edison after 43yrs of service. He was an active member of St. John's United Church of Christ, where he ushered and attended the men's breakfast/dinners. Harold was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving during the Korean War. He was a member of the Toledo Edison "515" Club, member IBEW and was an assistant coach for the Little League Baseball team. He was a dedicated Genoa Comets Football fan and attended every game he was able to. Harold enjoyed fishing, but he especially loved spending time with his family.

Survivors include: Loving Wife of 59 years: Beverly J. Auler of Curtice; Sons: Donald J. (Anna) Auler of Curtice, Brian K. Auler of Columbus, Thomas A. Auler of Virginia and David L. Auler of Curtice; Daughters: Donna J. (Steve III) Varga of Millbury, Rebecca S. Auler of Port Clinton, Lori Jo Auler of Genoa and Joyce A. Auler of Toledo; Grandsons:
Steve (Amanda) Varga IV, Daniel Auler, David Auler, Jeremy Distel and Michael Auler; Granddaughters: Jennifer (Jonathan) Brzuchalski, Erika Auler and Rachel Auler. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter: Tracy Varga, great grandson: Ethan Francis Varga, sister: Charlotte, brothers: Ralph, Robert & Paul Auler and 3 sister-in-laws.

Visitation will be 2-5pm & 6-8pm, Tuesday, February 12, 2013 in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Genoa, OH. Funeral services will be conducted 11am, Wednesday, February 13, 2013 in the Funeral Home Interment will be in Allen Township Cemetery.
