He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War then worked in various positions in the oilfield industry around the West Texas area before becoming a correctional officer. He later retired from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice after many years of service. His favorite pastime was fishing and hunting.
Survived by his mother, Margie Davis. Preceded in death by his father, Elmo Davis and his sister, Brenda Brandstetter.
