HAMPTON - Stephan R. Bearden, 13, of Hampton, died Wednesday, July 26, 1995. He was born in Newport News and was a lifelong resident of Hampton.

Stephan was a student at Syms Middle School where he was a member of the National Junior Honor Society. He also was the Goodwill Ambassador for the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Virginia and a member of Boy Scout Troop 84.

Stephan is survived by his parents, William and Jo Ann Bearden; his brother, Marcus Otten of Germany; his maternal grandparents, Thomas and Klara Creamer of Hampton; his paternal grandparents, Richard D. and Linda Bearden of Norfolk and Jean C. Bearden of Norfolk; his grandparents Werner and Margaret Wege; and his aunts and uncles, James and Mary Ann Warren, C.O. and Cathy Balderson, Richard and Eileen Creamer, John and Carolyn Creamer, Mary L. Swing, Carol Ann Kirk, Thomas Creamer and Thomas Wege. He will be missed by his beloved dog, Sugar.

A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Parklawn Memorial Park by Pastor L. Douglas Stowe.
