Emma Pearllene Correll Beagles, 92, of Buchanan died Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at Paris Health Care Center.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at McEvoy Funeral Home.
Larry Dukes, pastor of Point Pleasant Baptist Church, where she was a member, will officiate. Burial will follow in New Liberty Cemetery north of Paris Landing.
Chosen as pallbearers are Charles Schuchardt, Tommy, Aaron and Thomas Thompson, Jordan Kendall and Gerald Waynick.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Tuesday.
Born July 17, 1920, in Mount Vernon, Ill., she was a daughter of the late Pearl Thomas Correll and Nettie Mae Austin.
She was first married to Herman G. Jones, who died Dec. 23, 1989. She later married Eugene Stanley Beagles Jr., who died June 12, 2007.
She also was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers Auxiliary. A family member said she was an avid homemaker and enjoyed working in her flowers, cooking and especially her family.
She leaves one son: Harold (Barbara) Jones of Buchanan; one brother: Jarrell (Jean) Correll of Pleasant Plains, Ill.; four grandchildren: Charles (Melody) Schuchardt, Megan (Aaron) Storey, Maureen (Tommy) Thompson and Debra Dawson; 10 great-grandchildren: Kameron, Gretchen and Rebecca Schuchardt, Jordan and Lyndsey Kendall, Thomas, Aaron and Nathan Thompson, Jennifer Watkins and Tokafay Hawkins; and a special friend: Patricia Thompson.
She also was preceded in death by a son: Herbert Dale Jones in infancy; one sister: Iva Jean Carter in 1984; and two brothers: Francis and Irwin Correll.
