Joseph B. Grohman, born February 13, 1926, our loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 19, 2001 at the age of 75. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Margaret; daughter, Linda and husband Terry; sons, Harvey, Rusty and wife Judy, Richard and wife Donna, as well as 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters and six brothers, and their families. Joe served in the U.S. Army with the occupation forces in Japan following World War II. A loyal employee, he worked 45 years at Lone Star Brewing Company, retiring in 1988. A lifelong Catholic, he attended St. Gerard's, St. Benedict's, St. Ann's in La Vernia and St. Anthony in Elmendorf. Visitation will begin Monday, May 21, 2001 at 5:00 P.M. followed by a 7:00 P.M. Rosary at Dellcrest Funeral Home Chapel. Family and friends are invited to meet at St. Jerome's Catholic Church in Martinez, TX to celebrate Mass at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, May 22, 2001 with Father Thomas O'Brien officiating. Interment will be at St. Jerome's Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimers Association or Vista Care Hospice at 5815 Callaghan Rd., San Antonio, TX 78228. Funeral Services will be entrusted to: Dellcrest Funeral Home.
