"God wants us to keep working until the return of Christ...working as though the end will never come and living as though it will be tomorrow". Maxine Bradford

Maxine was born at Dry Creek, Raleigh County, WV. She married Cap and they built their home where they raised their 9 children. They had 6 sons, Jim, Dale, Dean, John, Glen and Robin. They had 3 daughters, Dody, Sue, and Kay. Maxine lived all her life on Dry Creek where she was a housewife and evangelist.
Maxine loved traveling especially going to her church conventions where she was an avid member of The Church of God of Prophecy and later The Church of God.
Maxine also loved canning, quilting, cooking and most important being a mother.

Maxine was diagnosed with breast cancer in September of 2010 when she was 94 years old. She died in September of 2012 after the cancer had invaded her lungs and her bone. She also suffered 9 years with dementia.

When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me
I want no nights in a gloom-filled room,
Why cry for a soul set free?

Miss me a little but not too long,
And not with your head bowed low,
Remember the love that we once shared.
Miss me......but let me go.

For this is a journey that we all must take,
And each must go alone.
It's all a part of the Master's plan
A step on the road to home.

When you are lonely and sick of heart,
Go to the friends we know,
And bury your sorrow in doing good deeds,
Miss me......but let me go.
